Delete your Craic data

Delete your account in the app (fastest)

1. Open Craic and go to the Me tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Read what will be deleted, type DELETE, tap Delete my account and confirm. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may ask you to confirm once more so we can revoke Craic's access to your Apple ID.

Your account and data are deleted immediately and you're signed out. This can't be undone.

Or ask us by email

If you can't open the app (for example if you're under 21 and blocked, or you've lost access), email shop@mellyindustries.com with the subject "Craic account deletion", from the email address on your Craic account (or include that address and your username; with Sign in with Apple "Hide My Email", include your username). We may reply to confirm the request is yours, and we'll process it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your login (email, or your Sign in with Apple link) and your profile: username, display name, bio, profile picture (the file is deleted too).
• Your contact fields and everything you've shared with friends, plus your friendships and friend requests.
• Your Meet at venue setting, the people you've blocked, and reports made about you. Reports you made stay, but without your identity, so we can still deal with abuse.
• Your check-ins, posts, photos/videos, views, ratings, chat and direct messages, and live music listings that still exist. Most of these are already deleted automatically within 2 hours to 7 days.
• Your live location and location sharing settings.
• Your calendar events and detected events.
• Your Facebook link (your app-specific Facebook ID) and linked Facebook or Apple logins.
• Your 21+ age confirmation (we never stored your date of birth).
• The venues you follow. For venue accounts: the venue claim, business contact details, verification records, venue posts (photos/videos are deleted too) and staff access. The bar listing stays on Craic without the ⭐️.

What may remain

• Shared bar information, such as bars added from Apple Maps or a Facebook Page linked to a bar, stays in Craic without your account attached.
• Anonymous aggregates, such as a bar's 6-hour color history, which expire on their own.
• Limited backups and security logs kept by our hosting provider, which are deleted on their normal schedule. Anything we must keep by law.

Delete only some data

• Contact details / sharing: Me → edit or remove fields; on a friend's profile, change "What I share with them"; or unfriend.
• Live location: Me → Location sharing → off (deleted immediately).
• Meet at venue visibility: turn off Show me in Meet at venue (bar check-in card, Friends tab or Me). Blocks: Me → Blocked people → Unblock.
• Live music you added: on the bar's profile, tap the trash icon next to your listing.
• Facebook: Friends → Find friends from Facebook → ••• → Disconnect Facebook.
• For anything else, email us and tell us what you'd like deleted.

Remove Craic from Facebook

If you connected Facebook, you can also remove Craic's access on Facebook's side:

1. In the Facebook app or on facebook.com, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
2. Go to Apps and websites (on newer versions you'll find it under Your activity or the Accounts Center).
3. Find Craic and choose Remove.

Removing Craic on Facebook stops future access. To also delete the Facebook ID we stored, use Disconnect Facebook in the app or email us.
